      It’s Sierra Madre’s turn to be alive with Theatre Arts this weekend, plus enhancements at the Playhouse District and One Colorado.

      Friday

      A Walk InThe Woods (Photo - Gina Long).– 8:00 pm: “A Walk in the Woods” Play

      A comedy-drama starring John Prosky and Nancy Youngblut (@ Sierra Madre Playhouse).

       

      Saturday

      – 9:00 am – 4:00 pm: Free Cert Training

      A 21 hour training program that was developed to provide basic training in safety and life saving skills for the general public (@ Loma Alta Park, Altadena).

      camelia-red– 9:00 am – 5:00 pm: Southern California Camellia Society Show

      Camellia lovers chance to meet, discuss, observe and learn (@ Descanso Gardens).

      Repair Cafe @ Villa Park– 10:00 am – 1:00 pm: Repair Cafe @ Villa Park

      Bring items to be repaired: appliances, electronics, jewelry, dull blades, toys, tools, clothing, jewelry (@ Villa-Park Community Center).

      – 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Meet the Authors

      A free opportunity to Meet the Authors of our local mountain history (@ Sierra Madre Congregational Church).

      Caltech - Occidental Band– 8:00 pm – 9:30 pm: Caltech Chamber Music Concert Series

      Sunday

      Biking– 8:00 am – 12:30 pm: Sunday Morning Neighborhood Stroll

      A ride/clinic just for the beginner rider who is starting out, and the rider who wants to ride more effectively (@ Pasadena Cyclery).

      Food labeling @ Arroyo Co-op– 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm: Learn About Food Labeling

      Should you buy cage-free, free-range, or all natural eggs? Does Organic also mean GMO-Free? etc. More topiss and answers will be touched on and explained (@ Arroyo Food Co-op).

      – 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm: Caltech Chamber Music

      Vegetables– 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm: Share Faire in the Park

      Park swap, making use of our own ripe backyard produce (@ Farnsworth Park).
