Despite all the rains and snow on the local mountains and on the the Central Sierra, we are still in the midst of a drought.

The U.S. Forest Service said recently that more than 29 million trees have already died and 58 million more are threatened due to the ongoing drought.
Whether you are visiting Pasadena or live here, it’s good to remember that Level 2 Water Supply Shortage Plan is currently in effect (read details here,) and water districts across the state insist that we still need to conserve water and prepare for future droughts.
We’re happy that rain and snow are moving back into California, but experts state that snow must continue falling through April for the drought to ease a bit.
