Two Pasadena Department Heads Fired

Pasadena Finance Director, Andrew Green, and Public Works Director, Siobhan Foster, were both fired today without cause by City Manager Michael Beck.

Details about Mr. Green and Ms. Foster’s severance packages are being worked out and will be released soon.

Julie Gutierrez, Pasadena Assistant City Manager, will oversee both city departments until positions are permanently filled.

Sources at Pasadena city hall did not rule out the possibility of future firing or disciplinary actions being taken against additional city employees in the coming weeks.

The firing comes on the heel of the embezzlement scandal that rocked the city few weeks ago.
