Pasadena City Hall and many City services will be closed in observance of Lincoln’s birthday on Friday, and Washington’s birthday on Monday, with one exception noted (see below)!

Here’s what will be open and closed during the long holiday weekend:

      Open

      • The Pasadena Fire and Police departments will continue to provide patrol, jail, fire, paramedic and other emergency services during the holiday. For life-threatening emergencies, remember to always call 9-1-1.
(“If You See Something, Say Something” by calling the Pasadena Police Department at (626) 744-4241 for non-emergencies).
      • The City’s Citizen Service Center (CSC) will remain open both days, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., for calls from the public.
For more information call (626) 744-7311).
      • Trash, recycling and yard waste pickups will be on the regular schedule, with no bulky item pickups on either holiday date.
      • Pasadena Transit and Dial-A-Ride buses will operate on their regular schedules for both days.
      • All community centers operated by the City’s Human Services and Recreation Department will be closed both holidays.
      • All parks will be open for picnics, fun and play.
No site reservations are accepted for the holidays.

      Closed

      • The Pasadena City Council will not meet Monday, Feb. 15.
      • The Pasadena Public Health Department’s Travel and Immunization Clinic will be closed Feb. 15 and will return to normal business hours Feb. 17.
For more information call (626) 744-6121.
      • Pasadena Water and Power (PWP)’s regular Customer Call Center will be closed for the holidays. You can still access your account and pay online.
        Call (626) 744-4673 for power emergencies, and (626) 744-4138 for water-related emergencies.
      • The City’s Municipal Services Payment Center at City Hall will be closed both days, as will the Parking Office, for citation payments, at 221 E. Walnut St.
      • All Pasadena Public Library sites will be closed Feb. 12 and Feb. 15 in observance of the holidays.

Although violations for red curb parking, overnight parking and blocking fire hydrants will continue to be enforced on both holidays, here’s a noted exception:

      • Lincoln’s birthday:

Holiday at City Hall – No free parking.

Parking meters will be in operation, time limits and all parking violations will be enforced on Lincoln’s Birthday, Feb.12.

      • Washington’s birthday:

Holiday at City Hall – Free parking!

Parking meters will be free, and parking time limits will not be enforced on Feb. 15. Parking meter enforcement will resume Feb. 16.

No explanation on the parking enforcement’s discrepancy for both holidays!
