The event is set to take place on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the historic Marshall Auditorium, where past and present members of the school community will come together to reflect on the school’s remarkable history.
The evening’s festivities will feature a variety of speakers, including distinguished Marshall alumni, former educators, and long-time administrators, who will share stories and personal recollections from their time at the school. Additionally, attendees will enjoy special performances that highlight the vibrant cultural and artistic traditions that have flourished at Marshall over the years.
“This celebration is not just about looking back at the last 100 years, but also about honoring the relationships, memories, and shared experiences that have helped make Marshall such an integral part of our community,” said Principal Lori Touloumian. “It’s a time to reconnect with old friends, faculty, and classmates, and to celebrate the spirit that makes Marshall so special.”
While the Centennial Celebration will take center stage in May, the school is also preparing for a second major event later in the year. The second day of the 100 Years of Athletics celebration, originally scheduled for spring 2025, will be rescheduled to the fall. Organizers are promising a memorable event that will further highlight the school’s athletic legacy.
Thurgood Marshall Secondary School invites everyone—students, alumni, families, and friends—to join in commemorating this significant moment in the school’s history. “We are excited to share this milestone with our entire community and look forward to seeing the many faces that have made Marshall a place of pride and success,” Felita Kealing added.
Community members are encouraged to spread the word, wear their school colors, and come together to make history as Thurgood Marshall Secondary School celebrates 100 years of education and tradition.
