The San Gabriel Valley Pride Festival is different from other Pride celebrations that normally take place in June.
The SCVPride is designed around October’s National LGBTQ History Month. This festival provides an awareness of community history and heritage, issues, services and opportunities for all genders and generations of the LGBTQ community in the San Gabriel Valley.
What to expect
- Interfaith Service and Blessing of the Animals
Kicking-off the event will be an Interfaith Service that begins at 11:00 am. The Interfaith Service and Blessing will be officiated by members of the LAQUICC (Los Angeles Queer Interfaith Clergy Council) and SGV area churches.
(Cats & dogs should be on leashes or in carriers). - Classic Car Show
The popular classic car show returns for another year. - “Carnival Gaymes”
A fundraising area benefiting Gay Student Alliances (high school and colleges). - Authors Forum
Readings and book signings including Alison Arngrim. - STEM
An area featuring SGV tech including Dr. Simon LeVay. - Big Draw LA
An interactive community drawing experience creating tiles for our Road to Equality art project. - Curated Panels
From Jeff Sheng’s Fearless portraying High School and College athletes who came out while in their sports. - Queen’s Croquet
A fundraising gayme based on The Queen’s Croquet Game in Alice in Wonderland. The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and a team of Drag Queens, and Kings headed by the Queen of Hearts portrayed by Alison Arngrim (actress best known for her portrayal of Nellie Oleson on Little House on The Prairie). - Book signing
- 3 Sisters Beer & Spirits Garden.
- Food trucks.
- Family, Health & Wellness.
- 30 organizations and booths.

The SGV Pride Festival started as a small picnic in Pasadena’s Memorial Park in 2001. Since then, the event has grown and has been the recipient of Pasadena’s Human Relations’ Community Award several times, as well as recognized by the LA County Board of Supervisors.
