      The City of Pasadena’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department (PRCS) kicks off the 14th annual Parks After Dark (PAD) program, a beloved summer tradition that transforms local parks into vibrant hubs of free entertainment, family fun, and community connection under the stars.

      PAD transforms Pasadena’s beautiful parks into vibrant hubs of fun, fitness, and family friendly activities. Come enjoy sports leagues, recreation activities, movies in the park, swimming, and much more. Connect with your neighbors and make unforgettable summer memories.

      Parks After Dark Activities

      Events are for all ages to enjoy and participate in, unless otherwise specified. Registration is not required unless noted in the activity description.

      Parks After Dark Kickoff Festival
      July 10, 2025

      The Parks After Dark kickoff at Robinson Park will feature free food, inflatable games, arts and crafts, a live DJ, and more. Part of the event will be an exciting evening of softball action. Come cheer on community members and Pasadena Police in a friendly softball game, followed by games from the City of Pasadena EAB Softball Tournament. Support your local teams and enjoy a fun-filled day at the ballpark.

      Open for all ages, Aztec Dance is an opportunity to learn traditional Aztec dance steps, movement, and drum rhythms. Lessons start with basic movements and then progress to choreographed dance steps. This activity is accompanied by live Aztec drumming.
