Late Friday night, Alhambra Police responded to a distress call near the intersection of El Molino Street and Grand Avenue following reports of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, officers discovered two men emerging from a residence, both suffering from stab wounds, one to the bicep, the other to the forearm. The victims were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
According to police reports, the incident began as a dinner argument that escalated into a physical altercation in the kitchen. One victim attempted to intervene and was also injured in the process. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction prior to police arrival.
Detectives launched an investigation and located the suspect’s vehicle in El Monte the following day during a traffic stop. Authorities later confirmed the arrest of Lihua Peng, a resident of Rosemead. Peng was booked at the Alhambra Police Department Jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon.
The case remains under active investigation as police continue to gather details surrounding the dispute.
