Ramona Museum announced their annual High School Public Speaking Contest, open to all San Gabriel Valley high school students from both public and private schools.

Application Deadline is Thursday, March 23. First place prize is $500 cash; Second place is $350 Third Place is $200; and two runner-ups receive $100 each.
The speeches must be between 5-7 minutes in length, notes and amplification may not be used while presenting the speeches. All topics must be related to California History. Preliminary speeches will be held in the Ramona Meeting Room behind the Museum on Monday, March 27th. The top five finalists will present their speeches on Thursday, March 30th at the Museum’s monthly Dinner Meeting (speakers, their guests, and teacher’s dinners are complimentary). Ramona Museum of California History is located at 339 South Mission Drive in San Gabriel. Museum opens each Saturday from 1:00 – 3:00 pm (except holiday weekends). Admission is free.
