The South Pasadena Unified School District (SPUSD) is beginning the search for its next superintendent and is inviting community members to play a key role in shaping the process.

The District has retained Education Support Services to assist in facilitating the search.
As part of the process, SPUSD is seeking input from all stakeholders through the creation of a Leadership Profile. This profile will guide the recruitment, screening, and selection of the new superintendent. The Board of Education urges community members to participate in this important process to ensure the community’s voice is heard.
There are several ways to get involved:
- Complete the Confidential Online Survey:
A brief five-minute survey is available to gather feedback, with responses due by Wednesday, March 5, at 9:00 pm The survey can be accessed at this link. - Attend a Community Forum:
An in-person forum will be held on Thursday, February 27, at 6:00 pm. in the District Office Board Room, located at 1100 El Centro Street. Additionally, a virtual forum is scheduled for Monday, March 3, at 11:00 am, with a link to the session provided closer to the date. - Participate in Group Sessions:
SPUSD will offer specific group sessions for more focused input. Details on these sessions will be shared as they become available.
The feedback collected will play a crucial role in developing the Leadership Profile, ensuring the new superintendent aligns with the values and priorities of the South Pasadena community.
