Upon arrival, Engine 81 was the first unit on the scene and found a detached, single-story garage fully engulfed in flames. The fire had already begun spreading to a neighboring structure and recreational vehicle.
Fire units from Pasadena and Alhambra also responded to assist. Firefighters launched an aggressive attack, deploying hose lines to prevent the blaze from spreading further. Their swift response and coordination minimized property damage and prevented the fire from reaching nearby homes or structures.
In addition to fighting the fire, crews conducted a thorough search of the property to ensure no one was trapped inside. They also took steps to ensure the safety of any pets on the premises. Remarkably, there were no reported injuries to the resident, emergency responders, or animals.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, with authorities working to determine its origin. Fortunately, the quick and effective actions of local fire departments were key in containing the damage to the garage and preventing a more catastrophic outcome.
