Parking Enforcement Post-Fire
The South Pasadena City Council addressed post-fire parking enforcement after months of leniency due to the Eaton Fire. Most surrounding cities, such as Pasadena, Sierra Madre, and Arcadia, have already resumed regular parking enforcement, and South Pasadena is preparing to follow suit.
Starting April 7, regular parking enforcement will resume in South Pasadena. However, residents can apply for an exception for overnight parking permits with proof of being affected by the January wildfires. These exceptions will only be valid through May 5, after which they will no longer apply.
Local Business Highlight
The South Pasadena City Council highlighted the local business “The Hive” during Wednesday’s meeting.
Owned by Emily Cline, “The Hive” is an arts and crafts studio focused on teaching specific art techniques and offering the space as a creative outlet for customers. Cline shared in the meeting that “art making is not just an activity, but a journey through healing and self-discovery.” She added, “creativity and community equals wellness.”
“The Hive” offers various projects such as candle painting, bookbinding, and knitting, among others. The studio also hosts birthdays, parties, and special events. Beginning April 1, they will be located at 1118 Mission Street in South Pasadena. For more information, you can reach them at (323) 333-8310.
The next South Pasadena City Council Meeting will take place on April 16th.
