In the wake of the emotional impact caused by the Eaton Fire, Senator Sasha Renée Pérez is calling on local families, educators, and community members to come together for a critical town hall event focused on healing and mental health.

Titled “Healing Together: Our Children’s Mental Health After the Eaton Fire,” the town hall will be held on Saturday, June 28, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Pasadena City College’s Creveling Lounge.
The event is designed to address the trauma and stress experienced by young people in the aftermath of the devastating fire.
The town hall will feature presentations from mental health professionals, a community Q&A session, and a wide range of support resources. Attendees will receive practical tools to help children cope with trauma, build emotional resilience, and access ongoing support.
Resource tables and information will be provided by key organizations including:
- CA Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative
- Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health
- Didi Hirsch Suicide Prevention Center
- NAMI San Gabriel Valley
- Chinatown Service Center
- Young & Healthy
- Sycamores
In addition, Senator Pérez’s staff will be on-site to provide information on State and Legislative resources for families affected by the disaster.
“This is about creating space to process, to support one another, and to give our children the tools they need to recover and thrive,” said Senator Pérez in a statement promoting the event.
