San Marino Fire Department recently turned up to cool down a group of children at Valentine Elementary School.

The beginning of July brought an Excessive Heat advisory to the area. The City of San Marino knows that the recent hot weather dangers can’t be ignored. The Crowell public library was pressed into service as the cooling center for the community, and its hours of operation changed to better suit those needs.
San Marino firefighters visited students at Valentine Elementary for a fire safety demonstration. After the demo, firefighters sent a stream of water high up into the sky. It rained down cool relief on the kids.
Turned out be a very cool way to stay cool!
