San Gabriel Police Department’s Community Academy Returns in May

The San Gabriel Police Department’s Community Academy is returning this spring. Courses will be held every Thursday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm beginning on May 4 and ending on July 6.

This informative ten-week course gives community members a hands-on law enforcement experience, including public safety tactics and firearms safety demonstrations. Each week, the police department will provide an inside look at their day-to-day operations as well as their role in the community.

Applications are now available on the city’s website and at the San Gabriel Police Department located at 625 S. Del Mar Ave. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, April 26, 2023.

Interested applicants are encouraged to apply early, as space is limited, and admission will be based on a first-come, first-served basis for qualified applicants. Qualified applicants who are not admitted into this session will be waitlisted for the following session.
