A sinkhole was discovered on the southbound 710 freeway off-ramp to California Boulevard earlier today (March 29, 23).
By News Desk
The off-ramp has been fully closed and traffic is being diverted to the Del Mar Blvd. off-ramp.
The full ramp closure will be in place until temporary repairs are completed into the overnight hours. Once the temporary repairs are completed, the ramp will be reopened but restricted to a single lane. This may result in traffic delays during the peak during morning and afternoon commuting hours.
The lane closure on the ramp will remain in place until materials can be acquired and repairs are completed. With rain in the forecast for Thursday, the contractor anticipates the repairs will be completed on or before Tuesday, April 4th.
