Get ready for the new school year by joining San Gabriel’s BACK TO SCHOOL event!

The City of San Gabriel has partnered with Supervisor Hilda Solis’ and former Councilwoman Carina Rivera to offer free Backpacks filled with essential school supplies. The giveaway will take place on Thursday, August 10, from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm at Vincent Lugo Park during our summer concert and movie event.
The backpack will contain items donated by the San Gabriel Kiwanis, San Gabriel Lions Club, San Gabriel Police Officers’ Association, Christian Service Boutique of God’s Love, Ramona Museum of California History, and Asian Youth Center. Please note that the supplies may differ from the ones pictured.
Given the limited supply of backpacks, participants are highly encouraged to pre-register to secure a giveaway spot. Priority will be given to residents of San Gabriel and families that reside in the adjacent unincorporated areas of LA County. Registration can be completed at sgprd.org (Course #8000.100).
