Their current mission is to bring no-cost Covid-19 testing to underserved areas in the United States.
The City of San Gabriel has been selected as the site for CORE Response to provide free Covid-19 testing, at no cost to the City. Testing will be done in the Mission Playhouse parking lot under shaded structures.
Walk-up (See updates below)
It is not a drive-thru site, strictly walk-up testing, and by appointment only. There are no income, insurance or residency requirements to utilize the testing.
The dates for testing in San Gabriel are January 8-9 (already completely booked), January 12-16 and January 19-21. Testing will be done from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
For information on this and other pop-up testing sites, go to the County of Los Angeles Covid-19 website.
CORE reached out to several cities in the San Gabriel Valley, but San Gabriel was the first to respond, due to the efforts of Mayor Denise Menchaca and Community Services Director, Rebecca Perez.
