Sponsored by the National Women’s Political Caucus of the San Gabriel Valley (NWPC-SGV), the workshop aims to increase women’s representation at all levels of government. For just $10, participants will gain valuable insights, tools, and connections to help them begin their political journey. Registration is available at www.nwpcsgv.org
Featured Speakers Include:
- Kathryn Barger, Los Angeles County Supervisor, 5th District
- Nadia Abrica, Congressional Campaign Director for the George Whitesides campaign (CA-27)
- Megheti DerBoghossian, Social Media Strategist and District 2 Liaison, City of Pasadena
Attendees will enjoy a welcome networking coffee, lunch, and a practical take-home workbook filled with actionable advice. The program also includes Q&A sessions with the speakers and free admission to the Arboretum for the remainder of the day.
Tammy Silver, President of NWPC-SGV, emphasized the event’s importance:
The time is now to have equal representation for women in all levels of government. We find that even today, in the San Gabriel Valley, there are many city councils, school boards and water boards which fall woefully short in the number of women elected to these offices. Good governance requires the voice of 50% of the population when considering issues that affect our daily lives.”
The NWPC-SGV remains steadfast in its mission to increase women’s political participation by equipping future candidates with the knowledge, tools, and support they need to succeed.
