On Saturday, March 8, 2025, activists will meet in Sierra Madre to demand action and stand up against what they describe as a growing authoritarian threat led by figures like the current President and Elon Musk.
By News Desk
The rally will take place at Kersting Court, located on the northwest corner of Sierra Madre Blvd. and Baldwin Ave. in Sierra Madre, California, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
In honor of International Women’s Day, the event aims to rally participants in defense of women’s rights, bodily autonomy, and the future of all individuals who feel threatened by what the organizers consider a political shift toward authoritarianism. The protest is open to everyone, with no permission required—simply bring a sign, gather friends, and join the demonstration.
“We are fighting back against a takeover that undermines our rights and freedoms,” said Lauren Pressman, one of the event’s organizers. “On International Women’s Day, we stand together to protect our bodies, our rights, and our future.”
All are welcome to attend. The rally is expected to draw people from surrounding areas who are passionate about defending democracy, equality, and social justice.
The rally will be a chance for community members to show their solidarity and make their voices heard in the fight against what they view as a growing threat to personal freedoms.
The event will take place rain or shine, and organizers are eager to unite for what promises to be a powerful demonstration. “We look forward to seeing you there,” Pressman added.
