Patty Hardin
creating a bridge
between differences
many hands
planting the seeds of peace
feel their efforts shakefrom time to time
the differences push each other
back
reluctant to recognize
someone else’s way
Poet Patty Hardin lives in Long Beach, Washington, with her husband and their two cats. Despite the roadblocks put in the path of peace, the goodness in mankind assures all of us that many hands will continue building bridges between the differences that too often separate us.

Paul Amoz Tan
dreams of my life
like chasing after butterflies
just beyond my reach
sitting quietly
they alight on my shoulders
Paul Amoz Tan lives in Malaysia. He says “Allow forgiveness in your heart. Then the heart is no longer at war with self and others.”

*Artist Lynda Pyka of Pasadena, CA, spends two weeks every summer away from city life in Allenspark, Colorado. Nearby are a field of all different colored llama, along with this one named Harmony who quietly mingle and remind us of what peace is like.
> The Poetry Corner is hosted by Kathabela Wilson. She says “my Maltese mother grew up in an international community in Port Said Egypt, her father worked for the British Consulate. She went to French, English, Italian schools, spoke Maltese at home, and learned some Arabic too. My whole childhood and beyond, my mother always yearned to start a real “Peace Center,” I think inspired by her own childhood. I always thought I should carry on her wish. I think our Poetry Corner is a Peace Center, and Lynda’s many colored Llama field is too! Yes, we all can create a peace center for ourselves and others.”

Thank you. Beautiful tanka and the butterfly photo by Dalton is spectacular.
Congrats to all.
The butterfly poem and photo are well suited. Both captured without a net – yet remain in the mind and heart of the reader.
dear Poets/Artists-All & Kathabela, this posting that offers the gentleness of wishes and butterflies and intentions for peace, arrives just as peace is needed in so many hearts–thanks!!
A lovely gathering place, this, and an opportunity for each and every poet/artist to contribute to making this planet more peaceful – even if only in the smallest way. Thank you! Peace!
