      Amplify Documentary

The City of Pasadena invites the community to the premiere screening of Amplify, a powerful oral history documentary that amplifies the voices and memories of those impacted by the construction of the SR-710 Freeway.

      By News Desk

The screening will take place during the 2nd Reconnecting Pasadena 710 Master Plan Community Engagement Workshop on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Pasadena Convention Center.

The screening will take place as part of the 2nd Reconnecting Pasadena 710 Master Plan Community Engagement Workshop on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Pasadena Convention Center.

Amplify, a 38-minute documentary, will be shown in Room 101 beginning at 10:15 am, with additional screenings throughout the event, giving attendees multiple opportunities to experience the compelling film. Free parking will be available at the convention center, with validation provided on-site for added convenience.

      About Amplify

Amplify brings to life the firsthand, poignant stories of individuals and families whose lives were disrupted by the construction of the SR-710 Freeway. Produced by M.D. Productions and Allegra Consulting in collaboration with the City of Pasadena, the documentary serves as a crucial historical archive, preserving these narratives for future generations. It highlights the resilience and memories of those most affected while underscoring the importance of community-driven storytelling.

The screening is part of the Reconnecting Pasadena 710 Master Plan Project, a two-year initiative aimed at reimagining Pasadena’s future after decades of disruption caused by the freeway. This project includes efforts to document oral histories, engage the community through workshops, and promote inclusive planning as the city moves forward.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to witness a powerful documentary and take part in the ongoing conversation about the lasting impacts of freeway construction on local communities.

Interpretation services will be available in Spanish and other languages upon request. RSVP or call 626-744-4577 at least 72 hours before the event to arrange services.
