On October 29, 2023, at 2:18 am, officers from the Pasadena Police Department responded to a shooting Washington Park located in the 700 block of West Washington Blvd.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult male down in the park. The male had sustained a gunshot wound and was unresponsive. He was transported to a local hospital by the Pasadena Fire Department with life-threatening injuries.

Detectives from the Pasadena Police Department’s Robbery / Homicide Unit (RHU) responded to the crime scene to commence an immediate follow-up investigation. The motive is unknown at this time.
