DPNA CHristmas Party (Photo - Mike Pashistoran).‘Tis the season to be….partying!

      By Mike Pashistoran

Mayoral candidates Jacque Robinson, Bill Thompson and Terry Tornek, and city councilmen Steve Madison attended the DPNA Christmas Party. (Photo - Mike Pashistoran).Yeah, I know the real reason for the season. Sadly, it seems most of us spend more time shopping & partying until we drop! December is filled with parties leading up to Christmas. Finally, we end with maybe the biggest party night of the year – New Year’s Eve!

How many parties have you attended so far this month? I’ve been to three and will attend a fourth before the year is done.

DPNA president Greg Gunther was backed by a hi-tech, state of the art, visual presentation of Pasadena. (Photo - Mike Pashistoran).A few nights ago I checked into the annual Downtown Pasadena Neighborhood Association (DPNA) party. Having a good space to hold your party can make or break your party. The Gamble Lounge of Pasadena Presbyterian Church made sense for a Christmas type party!

The DPNA party was attended by many Mayoral and school district candidates, a variety of city officials, representatives from Old Pasadena and Playhouse Districts, property owners, and residents.

Seed Plant Swap table @ Holiday Party (Photo - Maelane Chan). The Holiday Party presented by Throop Learning Garden and Transition Pasadena took place on Saturday, Dec. 20 at Throop Hall.

Craft Table - Making holiday cards (Photo - Maelane Chan).Soothing music filled the air along with potluck dishes and a big assortment of cookies swap. A Seed/Plant Swap table greeted guests outside while a fun craft corner of Holiday Cards was set inside next to a presentation of aged fine Chinese tea.
