The City of Pasadena and the Pasadena Veterans Day Committee honored the sacrifice of our fallen heroes at the Pasadena Memorial Day Commemoration on Monday, May 27 at Memorial Park.

The solemn ceremony was attended by the public and acknowledged veterans from Pasadena.
A missing man formation flyover by the Condor Squadron accentuated the ceremony, and funeral honors were performed by the 2nd Battalion, 23rd Marines. The event was sponsored by the City of Pasadena Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department, The Rose Bowl Stadium, and the Pasadena Management Association.
Memorial Day is celebrated to memorialize fallen U.S. troops of all conflicts. It began as a way to honor soldiers who died in the American Civil War. Many city services and administrative business offices were closed on Monday, May 27, in observance of the holiday.
