Pasadena Civil War Round Table Memorial Day Ceremony Honors Civil War Veterans

Join Pasadena Civil War Round Table for a Memorial Day Ceremony on May 26 at 2:00 pm at Mountain View Cemetery.

For many years, the Pasadena CWRT has held a Memorial Day Ceremony to commemorate the lives of the over 600 Civil War veterans, blue and gray, who are buried at Mountain View Cemetery. That ceremony will be held again this year, and the public is invited to learn about the lives of some of the soldiers buried there in walking tours led by CWRT President Nick Smith.

The cemetery includes soldier graves from every American conflict from the Mexican War forward, including two Civil War Medal of Honor recipients. Past participants have included the Sons of Union Veterans and the United Daughters of the Confederacy. This year Pasadena CWRT member and local historian Michele Zack will be speaking about the Brown Family graves.
