The No. 1 Oregon Ducks, champions of the Big Ten Conference, and No. 8 Ohio State Buckeyes, a top-ranked team, will play in the College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the Rose Bowl Game presented by Prudential at 1:00 pm (PT) on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at the Rose Bowl Stadium.
Oregon won the Big Ten Championship in its inaugural season in the conference with a 45-38 victory over Penn State on Saturday night. The Ducks enter the postseason as the No. 1 overall seed and No. 1-ranked team in the final College Football Playoff rankings. Oregon was the only Football Bowl Subdivision team to finish the season undefeated with a 13-0 record overall and a 9-0 record in conference play.
Pasadena Tournament of Roses President Ed Morales said: “We look forward to hosting the first-ever College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the Rose Bowl Game.” Oregon has played in eight Rose Bowl Games with a 4-4 record, but the Ducks have won in their last three appearances. The Ducks have an all-time Bowl record of 17-20. The first time the two teams met this year was in Eugene. The match was considered by many as The Game of the Year! Get ready for the second round of the playoff and a Rose Bowl matchup!

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) operates a light rail service to Pasadena via the A Line (formerly known as the Gold Line). If you take the A Line to the game, exit the train at Memorial Park Station in Pasadena. Follow the signs for two blocks to the CFP Semifinal at the Rose Bowl Game pick-up location at Parsons Parking Lot. The shuttle will take you directly to the Rose Bowl Stadium. The designated drop-off, pick-up, and taxi zone are on Holly Street between Fair Oaks Avenue and Arroyo Parkway. Passengers may take the free Rose Bowl Game Shuttle to the stadium. There are no provisions for drop-offs and pick-ups at the stadium. All taxis or passenger cars entering the Rose Bowl Stadium area will be required to pay the appropriate parking fee.
