As part of the final improvements for the new USC Keck Medical building at 590 S. Fair Oaks Avenue, the City of Pasadena will carry out nighttime roadwork beginning Monday, July 21.

Director of Public Works Greg de Vinck announced that crews will be restriping sections of Fair Oaks Avenue and California Boulevard, including installing new crosswalks at the intersection.
To complete the work safely, Fair Oaks Avenue will be fully closed between Palmetto Drive and Congress Street from 9:00 pm on Monday, July 21 through 6:00 am on Tuesday, July 22.
Traffic detours will be in place:
-
Southbound traffic will be rerouted to Raymond Avenue via Bellevue Drive.
-
Northbound traffic will detour to Pasadena Avenue via Bellefontaine Street.
Despite the closures, emergency access to Huntington Hospital and local business access will remain open throughout the work period.
Advance warning signs and electronic message boards will be deployed to inform the public of the temporary changes. Commuters are encouraged to plan ahead and follow posted detour routes.
