Next time someone says “take a walk,” take their advice, as it might be a beneficial way for you to find a solution for what’s bothering you in life.

A study, made at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Education, found that participants gave more creative responses when they were walking, versus sitting.
It turned out that walking has a large effect on creativity. Most of the participants benefited from walking compared with sitting, and the average increase in creative output was around 60%
Marily Oppezzo, the lead author of the study, got the inspiration for the research while walking (as a graduate student) with her thesis adviser.
