The City of Monterey Park and Ware Disposal are hosting a free cleanup event offering residents an opportunity to dispose of bulky items, electronic waste, and hazardous waste on October 4.

This drive-in and drop-off event is for Monterey Park residents (ID or bill required).
What will be accepted:
- Bulky items: furniture, rugs, mattresses, clothing, and appliances
- Electronic waste: televisions, printers, computers, power cords, and other electronic devices
- Paper shredding: bring all your unwanted documents for shredding
- Hazardous waste items: batteries, aerosols, sprays, cleaners, paint, paint thinner, turpentine, pesticides or herbicides, pool chemicals, fluorescent lightbulbs, solvents, antifreeze
What will not be accepted:
- Explosives
- Ammunition
- Radioactive materials
- Controlled substances
Participation in the event and all items accepted are at your own risk. It is the attendees’ responsibility to practice safe lifting and take all protective measures to guard against injury or any other loss.
Residents who are unable to attend the event can also have bulky items picked up from the curbside by contacting Ware Disposal at (626) 225-2400 or mpinfo@waredisposal.com. Bulky item pick-ups must be pre-arranged through Ware Disposal. Any items left abandoned on the curb can be subject to a notice of violation from MPK Code Compliance.
