He’s back!

Esdras Ochoa, the proprietor of longstanding Chinatown restaurant Mexicali Taco, announced that the downtown venue will have a cousin soon, a second location opening in San Gabriel City.

The site at 1811 S. San Gabriel Boulevard, will be the third rebirth of the A-frame structure, formerly a Wienerschnitzel and the Chinese skewer spot, Eastern Spice.

Ochoa is a star in the sky of entrepreneurs, having opened restaurants in Los Angeles, Hong King and India and appeared in a Netflix food competition series. He will soon bring a menu of grilled goodies to San Gabriel.

No date for the opening of Mexicali Taco #2 has yet been announced.
