Recent reports indicate that the T. administration, in collaboration with Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., is preparing to announce concerns linking the use of Tylenol (acetaminophen) during pregnancy to autism in children. However, leading medical experts are pushing back, asserting that there is no conclusive evidence to support such claims.

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) issued a statement to CBS News, emphasizing that “there is no clear evidence that proves a direct relationship between the prudent use of acetaminophen during pregnancy and fetal developmental issues.”
ACOG further clarified that neurodevelopmental disorders, particularly autism, are multifactorial, making it difficult to identify any single cause. The organization reassured pregnant individuals, noting that acetaminophen remains a safe and essential option for pain management during pregnancy.
“Pregnant patients should not be frightened away from the many benefits of acetaminophen, which is safe and one of the few options available for pain relief during pregnancy,” ACOG concluded.
