How about a walk that highlights downtown Pasadena’s beautiful stained-glass window art? There’s a walk on Thursday that promises to do just that!

Celebrate our connection with earth by walking Downtown Pasadena and discovering the stained glass treasures hidden in plain sight.
This hidden treasure walk, part of “Thirty Days for the Earth” celebration,” aims to “deepen our connection to and care of earth through education, & action,” according to curator Everett Howe, interim associate pastor at Throop Church.
Visiting
The stained-glass window walk will include visits to the following churches (along with explanation and information on site).

Throop Unitarian Universalist Church
Built in 1886, learn about the stained glass windows that were created by the master craftsman Charles J. Connick.

All Saints Church
Learn about this 91-year-old Gothic Revival church with glowing stained-glass windows that have to be seen and admired.

First Congregational Church of Pasadena
A continuing work from commission (1932) to final installation (1952,) you will learn about beautiful stained glass window that were made by the Judson Studios of Pasadena.

Pasadena Presbyterian Church
This church features a tall, vertical stained-glass window and soaring half-arch shooting skyward that will take your breath away.

First United Methodist Church of Pasadena
Inspiring stained glass windows, including the Tiffany window of “the boy Jesus.”
Get your walking shoes, meet at the Throop Learning Garden (in front of the main entrance,) and discover the “Many Windows, One Light” through this Hidden City Walk.
