The South Coast Air Quality Management District (South Coast AQMD) has issued a mandatory wood-burning ban for all residents within the South Coast Air Basin.

The No-Burn rule prohibits the use of wood, pellets, and manufactured fire logs in any indoor or outdoor wood-burning device. The ban will be in effect from midnight to midnight on Saturday.
The restriction comes as the region heads into a clear and mild weekend. In the Greater Pasadena area and the San Gabriel Valley, Saturday is expected to be sunny with a high near 69 degrees and light winds—starting from the east around 5 mph before shifting to the south-southwest in the afternoon. Saturday night will remain clear with a low around 46 degrees and calm conditions.
Temperatures will continue to rise through the weekend. Sunday will bring more sunshine and a high near 74, with calm winds becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. Sunday night will stay clear with lows around 48 degrees and light north-northeast winds. The warming trend continues Monday, which is forecast to be sunny with a high near 77.
