Residents across the San Gabriel Valley are set to participate in a coordinated day of protest on Saturday, March 28, 2026, as part of the broader “No Kings” movement responding to Trump’s bid for increased personal power.

      By News Desk

Organizers describe the demonstrations as peaceful gatherings aimed at affirming democratic principles and rejecting authoritarianism. According to the movement’s website, participation has been growing nationwide, with events planned in both urban and rural communities.

“Our peaceful movement is only getting bigger,” the group states. “‘No Kings’ is more than just a slogan; it is the foundation our nation was built upon. Born in the streets, shouted by millions, carried on posters and chants, it echoes from city blocks to rural town squares, uniting people across this country to fight dictatorship together.”

The statement continues, “Because this country does not belong to kings, dictators, or tyrants. It belongs to We the People — the people who care, who show up, and who fight for dignity, a life we can afford, and real opportunity. No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings.”

Multiple rallies are scheduled throughout the San Gabriel Valley on Saturday:

      • 10:00 am – 12:00 pm: Monrovia No Kings rally at Library Park (see link).
      • 10:00 am – 12:00 pm: South Pasadena No Kings rally at Mission Street and Fair Oaks Avenue (see link).
      • 10:00 am – 12:00 pm: There will be two rallies in Altadena: (see link).
      • 11:00 am – 1:00 pm: Pasadena No Kings rally from Pasadena City College to City Hall (see link).
      • 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm: Monterey Park No Kings rally at S. Atlantic Blvd & W. Riggin St. (see link).
      • 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm: Alhambra No Kings rally at Alhambra Park (see link).

All events are part of what organizers are calling a “National Day of Peaceful Protest,” with local residents expected to join demonstrations across the region.

President Trump is very bad at being a king, dictator, and tyrant. This will be the 3rd “No Kings” protest on his watch.
