Vroman’s Bookstore in Pasadena is inducting author Lian Dolan as the next honoree to be immortalized with her handprints and signature in their Author Walk of Fame.

Lian Dolan is the author of the 2025 summer novel, Abigail and Alexa Save the Wedding : A Novel which will release a month after the paperback release of Dolan’s USA Today bestseller, The Marriage Sabbatical: A Novel.
Lian’s first appearance at Vroman’s was in 2001 in support of her collection of essays, Satellite Sisters UnCommon Senses. Over the next two decades, she has launched all five of her bestselling novels at the store, including Helen of Pasadena, one of the bestselling books of all-time at Vroman’s. In addition, she’s moderated panels and hosted events for other authors.
Lian has supported local charities and organizations including Cancer Support Community, San Marino League, La Canada Flintridge Orthopedic Guild; National Charity League, USC Trojan Affiliates, Multiple Sclerosis Society, Pasadena Public Library, Altadena Public Library, Library Foundation of Los Angeles, Pasadena City College Foundation, Doheny Luminaires, Soroptimist Club, and the Thursday Club.
Writer Lian Dolan will be honored in front of Vroman’s Bookstore, 695 East Colorado Blvd., Pasadena, on Saturday, November 23, at 12 noon. Guests are welcome to stay for a public reception and a special conversation between Naomi Hirahara and Lian Dolan.
