Titled Etta Mae Mumphries’ Black History Month Comedy Kick-off, the event showcases “clean,” positive comedy from seasoned performers Etta Mae Mumphries (aka Karen Bankhead), Rev. Monty B. Sharpton (aka Lamont Bonman), and Nick Arnette. Each comedian brings a unique perspective on human behavior and community, with a special nod to Eaton Fire survivors.
Etta Mae Mumphries, known as everyone’s favorite “church mother” and the Black Forrest Gump, is celebrated for delivering good, clean comedy that leaves audiences inspired, energized, and “tickled pink.” Rev. Monty B. Sharpton blends music, magic, and clean comedy into his performances, while seasoned comedian Nick Arnette rounds out the lineup with feel-good humor.
Reservations are suggested. Attendees can register online or find more information by visiting pasadenaseniorcenter.org and clicking on Special Events, or by calling (626) 795-4331.
