The last Repair Cafe of the year will take place at Throop!
The free meeting place where you can repair things (sometimes together) is back at the Shed in Pasadena. From clothes, furniture, electrical appliances, bicycles, appliances, toys, et cetera, you’re bound to find expert volunteers with repair skills in all kinds of fields.
Visitors bring their broken items from home and volunteer specialists do their best to repair them, all done for free. If you have nothing to repair, you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, or lend a hand with someone else’s repair job. You can also help yourself to the Really, Really, Free Market, where everything is free for the sharing.
Here’s what to expect:
- Tinkers for electronics and appliances.
- Tailors.
- Massage chair.
- Bike repair.
- Wordsmithing for term papers, resumes, Dear Johns, etc.
- Knife sharpening.
- Silver polishing.
