Starting Tuesday, January 28, 2025, these forms will be accessible online to help property owners begin the critical task of clearing debris and rebuilding their homes.
Chair Barger commended the agencies for expediting the process, calling it a “critical milestone” and an essential step forward in the recovery efforts. “This is the first step towards ensuring wildfire survivors can begin clearing debris and rebuilding their homes without delays,” Barger stated. She also echoed former President T.’s call for accelerated recovery work, stressing that wildfire survivors should not face extended delays in debris removal.
The Right of Entry forms, which allow property owners to opt-in to a government-led debris clearance program, are a key component of the recovery process. By signing these forms, property owners give permission for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to mobilize and begin safe debris removal from their properties. The forms will be available online at recovery.lacounty.gov.
Barger reiterated the importance of continued collaboration among local, state, and federal agencies to remove obstacles and provide resources for a swift recovery. “I am committed to doing everything possible to help our communities heal and quickly rebuild,” Barger said.
For more information and to access the Right of Entry forms, wildfire survivors can visit recovery.lacounty.gov starting January 28.
