This year’s float symbolizes a day of healthy living and celebrates a focus on total heath — body, mind and spirit. The float features a sun at one end and a moon at the other, with various healthy activities in between reflecting the theme “More Healthy Days for More Healthy Years.” The float showcases the essential role of nutritious food, physical activity, and mental wellness in overall health and celebrates how Kaiser Permanente’s care teams empower members of all ages and abilities to live their best, healthiest life every day.
“Kaiser Permanente is excited to receive the Wrigley Legacy Award for our 2025 Rose Parade float, which exemplifies key components of our mission: improving the health of our members and the communities we serve,” said Greg A. Adams, chair and chief executive officer, Kaiser Permanente. “Kaiser Permanente’s model of integrated care and coverage shifts the paradigm to not only excellence in clinical care but excellence in the total health of our members, including physical, mental and social health.”
Kaiser Permanente’s 2025 float features the sun decorated with yellow strawflower, white rice, and gold clover seeds, accented by yellow button mums in the shape of stars. A flowing rainbow made of carnations spans the length of the float, with a serene moon capping the tail of the float, decorated with white rice, gray lettuce seed, and white button mums, surrounded by stars. The float was designed and built by Phoenix Decorating Company and stands 28 feet tall, 18 feet wide, and 55 feet long.
Eleven Kaiser Permanente members and care providers rode on the float during the parade, and nine Special Olympics Southern California athletes, coaches, guardians and volunteers walked alongside it. Kaiser Permanente has supported SOSC events for more than a decade and promotes the organization’s shared principles of diversity, equity and inclusion. The local partnership exemplifies the float’s theme, highlighting how inclusivity, movement and connection contribute to lifelong health and well-being.
