Would you like to understand how a progressive agenda – built on values of inclusion and acceptance of all people – can move forward in the age of Trump?
Congresswoman Judy Chu (D-CA 27th) will be at Throop Church in Pasadena to talk about how she will play an instrumental role in DC.
Rabbi Jonathan Klein, Executive Director for CLUE, says:
This is an opportunity to learn how Congressional Democrats and level-headed Republicans might respond over the next couple of years, and to let Congresswoman Chu know how we feel.
I hope that we can pass legislation to better define sanctuary space as sacrosanct and thus off-limits for ICE, Border Patrol, etc. Perhaps this could receive bipartisan support.
A Q & A will be moderated by Rabbi Joshua Levine Grater, and ending with an inspiring list of collective actions that can be taken.
The event is free and open to the public and refreshments will be served.
