WCK’s dedicated team of volunteers in Los Angeles is actively providing vital meals to the courageous first responders and emergency personnel working tirelessly to combat the destructive flames, which have already destroyed thousands of structures.
In addition to supporting the firefighters and officials on the front lines, WCK has partnered with local food trucks to deliver nutritious meals directly to displaced residents, offering them much-needed sustenance during this challenging time. To further assist those affected, WCK has established key food distribution sites in the communities of Altadena, Pasadena, La Canada Flintridge, and the Palisades, ensuring that those impacted by the fires have access to comforting meals as they begin the long road to recovery.
Chef José Andrés was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Joe Biden on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the White House.
