- Where do you want to see crosswalks?
- Where should the bike lanes be located?
- Should we have median landscaping or rain gardens, even with potential maintenance costs?
- Should we lower the design speed and speed limit?
*Sharrows are meant to show cyclists they are allowed in the main travel lane. They are used throughout the United States and Canada and usually appear on streets with on-street parking. Sharrows are meant to reduce accidents in which cyclists are struck by suddenly opened car doors, or dodge the door and are struck by a vehicle overtaking them from behind. A sharrow on the surface of the road appears as a bicycle with two chevrons painted over it. They’re also known as “bike in a house.” They are also meant to warn drivers that cyclists are allowed to take the lane.
