The Pasadena Fire Department (PFD) is inviting community members to help shape its future. The department is developing a strategic plan to guide its work over the next three to five years, and it’s asking residents to share their input through a short, confidential online survey.
By Rena Kurlander
The survey, available until 11:59 pm on Friday, August 1, 2025, asks residents to weigh in on key topics including:
- Service priorities — Which fire services matter most to you?
- Planning priorities — What aspects of department planning should take precedence?
- Expectations — What do you expect from your fire department in terms of service, communication, and professionalism?
- Positives — What is the department doing well?
- Concerns — What areas need improvement?
- Additional thoughts — Any other ideas for the future of the department?
The department has partnered with AP Triton, LLC, a public safety consulting firm, to assist with the planning process. Results from the survey will be compiled and published in the department’s final strategic report.
The survey takes approximately 15–20 minutes to complete and can be accessed online.
For Pasadena residents, this is a chance to have a direct voice in how the city’s fire services evolve. Don’t miss the opportunity to contribute, the deadline is fast approaching.
