Pasadena Humane is inviting the community to find their new best friend during a special Free Adoption Day on Saturday, October 18, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. For one day only, adoption fees for all available dogs, cats, and critters will be completely waived, thanks to a generous donor.

The event aims to place hundreds of shelter animals into loving homes at a time when the shelter is especially full. Visitors will be able to meet a wide variety of adoptable pets and speak with knowledgeable staff and volunteers to help find the perfect fit for their family.
“There’s nothing quite like the joy of seeing a shelter pet go home with a new family,” said Chris Ramon, CEO & President of Pasadena Humane. “We hope to see many more of our animals find the loving homes they’ve been waiting for, and Free Adoption Day is a wonderful opportunity to give them a fresh start.”
Fall is considered an ideal time for pet adoption, as families can settle into a new routine before the holidays. All adoptions include spay or neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccines, and a microchip. Standard screening procedures will still apply, and licensing fees may be required depending on the adopter’s location.
Pets are adopted on a first-come, first-served basis, and interested adopters are encouraged to browse available animals ahead of time at their website. To ensure a safe environment for all, attendees are asked to leave their personal pets at home.
