Free Compost Giveaway in Monterey Park

Monterey Park will host a free compost giveaway event on March 8, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm at Garvey Ranch Park’s west entrance.

Attendees must be a Monterey Park resident (ID or bill is required). Bring your shovels, dolly, sturdy containers, gloves, and eye protection for this self-service event. No plastic bags allowed. Drive up only, no walk-ins. Containers should be 32 gallons in size or smaller due to safety concerns. There will be a 30 gallon limit during the first hour (no limit from 10:00 am to noon, while supplies last).
