On Monday, January 20, Vice President Kamala Harris and President Joe Biden visited Southern California following T’s inauguration

Harris, in her home state, first visited Gordy’s Garage in Altadena, where World Central Kitchen was providing meals to fire-affected communities. She met with fire survivors and volunteers, expressing admiration for their resilience.
Harris also visited Fire Station 12, the first to respond to the Eaton Fire, where she spoke with local firefighters about the emotional and physical toll of their work. Harris said that her own home had been in a mandatory evacuation zone just days prior.
Meanwhile, President Biden visited Santa Ynez, where he emphasized his continued commitment to public service. He addressed staff before leaving office and reaffirmed his dedication to the fight ahead.
