Forest Lawn-Hollywood Hills is set to host its 66th annual Veterans Day Celebration on Monday, November 11, 2025, offering a vibrant and heartfelt tribute to veterans of the United States military.

      By Luca Bonoli

This year’s event will take place at the Hall of Liberty at 11:00 am, providing an opportunity for the community to come together in remembrance and appreciation of those who have served in the armed forces.

The ceremony promises to be a meaningful and moving experience, featuring a range of highlights that pay tribute to the sacrifices and courage of military service members. A military flyover by the Condor Squadron will soar above, marking the beginning of the program, while the Los Angeles Police Concert Band, along with various musical performers, will provide patriotic music throughout the event.

The program will also feature several distinguished speakers. Captain (CA) LaStacia Neat, Aide to the Commanding General of the California State Guard, will deliver the keynote address. Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton of the Los Angeles Police Department will present a presidential proclamation in honor of the day. Remarks will also be made by Los Angeles Councilmember John Lee of District 12, and Monsignor Frank Hicks of St. Basil’s Catholic Church will lead the invocation and benediction.

The Los Angeles Police Department Honor Guard will conduct the formal posting and retiring of the colors, followed by an Honor Guard salute. In addition, there will be a wreath-laying ceremony, reflecting the community’s deep respect and gratitude for veterans.

Musical performances will add to the occasion, including Harry Farrar, Pipe Major of the Scottish Bagpipes & Drums, and the St. Patrick’s Catholic School Drum Corps, alongside soloist Heather Catalena and pianist Michael Parnell. The day’s events will be hosted by Michael Ellington, a 36-year veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department, who will also ensure sign-language interpretation is provided for all speakers and song lyrics, making the event accessible to all attendees.

As always, attendees will be able to enjoy refreshments and receive commemorative giveaways as part of this special tribute to those who have served in the U.S. military.
