America celebrated its independence with food, music and fireworks. Locally, the scene was similar with a local flavor added in the mix.
Tens of thousands of people attended Americafest, the Rose Bowl largest fireworks display in Southern California.
The Bowl was packed inside with great shows prior to the spectacular fireworks event. Outside, spectators filled all the adjacent parking lots and crowded the hills surrounding the Bowl for a good view of the anticipated fireworks display.
The show did not disappoint and, by far, was one of the biggest, coolest, and largest fireworks event in Southern California history.
The second most attended event was in Monrovia where thousands of people jammed Library Park for a nice evening of music leading into a fireworks show that lasted almost 20 minutes.
Monrovia kept the party alive by syncing up the music with a spectacular fireworks show.
