Fenyes Mansion was decorated in Southern goth style to be featured in Beyonce’s new song “Formation.”

The new provocative song “Formation,” released by Beyonce last Saturday, depicts scenes that were shot at the Fenyes Mansion at Pasadena Museum of History.

Jeannette Bovard, Media Consultant at the Museum, commented on Social Media by saying:

This is the historic residence I decorate each holiday season with the help of a very talented group of volunteers. Must say I’m in awe of the set designer and envious of his budget! No matter your musical tastes, take a look – I think our mansion looks great in Southern Gothic style.

Once home to Dr. Adalbert and Eva Fenyes, the Fenyes Mansion is one of Pasadena’s many treasures. Original period furnishings, family heirlooms, and a unique California art collection enhance this 1906 Beaux Arts-style architectural residence, designed by Robert Farquhar (with a later addition by Sylvanus Marston).

      > You can take docent tours (one per day) of the Fenyes Mansion on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 12:15 pm, at a price of $15/person (PMH Members are free!).
